Held on 18 December 2024, this online event was an interesting discussion on addiction, a complex and challenging topic that affects many lives. The moderated debate brought together two esteemed guests: Saša Langošová, the talented lead singer of the popular Czech band November 2nd, whose artistic perspective on addiction offered a unique understanding of the pressures faced by creative people and how to overcome them without resorting to addictive substances. And Lenka Mezeiová from Drop In, a respected centre for addiction treatment and prevention, who shared her rich experiences of hands-on work in harm reduction and public health. Their stories reminded us that while the path to recovery is never easy, we can make a lot of difference by offering support, understanding, and compassion.
